Karen heads up the PNG tax service line. Karen has been in PNG for more than five years and has almost twenty years of international tax experience having trained with KPMG in Ireland and worked in both Big 4 and mid-tier firms over the years.

Karen’s experience is broad-ranging advising PNG clients under all tax heads including listed companies, multi-nationals, private companies and NGOs and covering various industries including banking, insurance, telecommunications, oil & gas, mining, manufacturing, leasing, aviation, property, and services.

Louwrens has over twenty seven years of tax and finance experience having worked for three of the Big 4 firms as well as in industry and with the South African tax authorities prior to joining KPMG PNG.

Louwren’s extensive experience spans across Africa, the Middle East and Caribbean markets and in industry he worked across various sectors including advertising, business, finance and tax consulting, real estate development, construction and agriculture. This experience, combined with his roles as Group Chief Financial Officer and Group Finance Director will assist Louwrens to advise PNG and international clients on all related tax, business and financial matters.
