Herbert leads the PNG Audit Practice and has over 15 years’ experience across PNG, Australia and Africa providing audit and advisory services to a variety of clients ranging from large listed multinational organisations to small privates. Herbert has experience across a variety of sectors including financial services and funds management, energy and resources, manufacturing, property construction, development and investment, NGO’s, state owned enterprises and government agencies.
Pieter is an experienced Audit Partner specializing in external audit. He has been in PNG since January 2017 after time spent in South Africa and Australia. Pieter is highly skilled in managing strategic relationships and providing corporate advice, he has a high level of professional credibility, a robust commercial acumen, and a proven ability to lead large complex engagements, create process improvements and increase efficiencies.
In his role as Audit Partner, he has worked closely with Senior Partners, CEOs, CFOs and Board of Directors but also with new starters at Graduate level. Working in PNG, Australia, and Africa, he has been exposed to an extremely wide variety of people from different cultures and backgrounds. This has enabled him to adapt and be efficient in most work environments. His main responsibility in his role includes managing stakeholder relationships and successfully delivering and executing engagements. The role also includes leading engagement teams, business development, and strategic business decision making. Over his career, he has also facilitated a number of workshops and presentations, covering a wide range of topics related to technical accounting aspects as well as soft skills learnings.
